Who provides your car warranty? Cancellation routes by company

By Car Warranty Refunds · Sources checked · 4 min read

The car manufacturer, dealership, warranty seller and contract administrator can be different companies. Use the administrator and product name on your signed agreement to choose a cancellation route. This directory links to official guidance and clearly labels dealer-hosted or older documents.

Use your own contract and the evidence requested by its administrator. These are illustrative documents.

Find the names that determine the route

On the agreement, locate the administrator, obligor or provider, selling dealer and lender. The administrator processes contract activity; the obligor is the party identified as responsible under the agreement. The seller may collect the request or issue a refund. Read the cancellation clause to establish who must actually receive your notice.

Names on a marketing brochure or vehicle badge are not enough. If the purchase documents contain only a package price, ask for each product’s signed agreement and price. Separating repair coverage, GAP, maintenance and appearance products prevents applying the wrong cancellation rules.

Protective Asset Protection

Protective publishes a cancellation form with different reason selections and supporting-record instructions. It includes customer and dealer signature areas, mileage and financing information. Use the current form confirmed for your contract, especially when requesting an earlier sale or trade date.

Ask whether the dealer must complete its portion, which party receives the packet and what evidence proves acceptance. Review payment directions before signing. The linked June 2022 form is a researched reference, not a claim that every Protective-administered product uses that version today.

Honda Care

An older Honda Care cancellation form is publicly hosted by Saccucci Honda. It illustrates the need to distinguish financed coverage, payoff evidence, mileage and the cancellation reason. Verify the current document and instructions with Honda Care or your seller before using an old form.

A Honda-branded vehicle does not establish that its service contract is Honda Care. If you bought a third-party agreement at a Honda dealership, identify that administrator first. Keep maintenance and repair agreements separate when requesting multiple cancellations.

Mopar Vehicle Protection / FlexCare

Mopar’s current FAQ describes cancellation for an eligible original purchaser through a dealer and provides a direct submission route when no dealer is in the area. It also distinguishes financed total-loss or repossession situations, where the lienholder has a role. Read the full provision for your circumstances.

Have your personalized plan provisions available. Check whether coverage was already transferred and ask which date controls the refund. Do not borrow an address from a roadside-assistance or repair-reimbursement section: those are different requests.

EasyCare / APCO

EasyCare’s published cancellation form identifies the selling dealer or the contact route shown on the form as submission options, with any refund issued by the dealer. It calls out additional evidence for GAP depending on the cancellation reason. The linked form carries a 2019 identifier; confirm its current applicability.

Choose the exact EasyCare product being canceled and ask which records it requires. A GAP-specific documentation instruction should not automatically be described as a requirement for every repair-service contract.

Total Warranty Services (TWS)

TWS’s January 2026 form asks for the agreement, vehicle, customer, reason, date, mileage and selling dealer, with customer and dealer signatures. Its mileage note describes supporting records for service contracts and prepaid maintenance.

Check that the dealer’s required step is completed and that the recipient has the full packet. Keep the final signed copy. Ask which party will issue and receive the payment rather than assuming that emailing a form means the refund is already underway.

If your provider is not listed

Use the contract’s cancellation clause and official support information. Ask your selling dealer for the legal administrator name and a complete agreement if the brand label is unfamiliar. Match the company and product before downloading a form from a search result.

Do not infer a refund window, fee or delivery address from a similarly named company. Our policy review can help identify the relevant clause and missing information, but a listed provider is not a guarantee of eligibility or a pre-existing integration.

Frequently asked questions

Is my dealership the warranty provider?

It may be the seller or refund issuer, while another company administers the agreement. The signed contract identifies those roles and the required recipient.

Are these companies affiliated with Car Warranty Refunds?

No affiliation is implied. The names identify the subjects of independent cancellation guidance and link to source material.

Why are some forms marked older or dealer-hosted?

Their provenance matters. They can help explain a process, but you should confirm the current required version with the provider before submitting.
